In the mid to late 1990s, Danish reconnaissance units painted their Leopard 1s in a near-black colour scheme (a 80/20% mix of standard Danish black and green). 5th Recce Batallion, 1 Squadron were the users, but some also claim 2 Squadron used them. Echelon produce a decal set especially for these tanks (D356065 Black Recce Leopard 1A5DKs).
